A patient gave this to me I thought that it was quite funny. Compare to Hebrews 12 in the bible.
5…Despise not the chastening of thy Pettibon doctor, nor quit when thou art rebuked of him.
6. For whom the doctor loveth he correcteth, and scourgeth every child whom he treateth.
7. If ye endure correction, the doctor treateth you as he would his own child, for what child is he whom the parent correcteth not?
8. But if ye refuse correction as a stubborn child, then ye remain a victim of pain.
9. Yea verily, the Pettibon chastening is but for a few days, and it is for thy profit, that ye might be partakers of a full and joyful life.
10. Now, no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless, afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of a pain free body unto them which are exercised thereby.
11. Wherefore strictly obey the instruction of the Pettibon doctor, and he will lift up thy head that hangeth down and will strengthen they feeble muscles.
12. And will make straight paths for thine impaired balance, lest thou whom hast waxed lame with pain be turned out of the way to joy;
13. But let thyself, rather be healed.
